We’re delighted to announce that Sarab Chopra has successfully completed her probation and is now officially a fully-fledged Angel.

Sarab joined Angel Business Communications as Editor of PIC Magazine, stepping into a pivotal role within our semiconductor portfolio. Over the past few months, she has quickly established herself at the heart of the publication - strengthening editorial direction, building industry relationships, and enhancing the overall voice and positioning of PIC.

As Editor, Sarab leads the content strategy across print, digital and event platforms, working closely with contributors, partners and the wider Angel team to ensure PIC continues to serve the fast-evolving photonics integrated circuits community.

She has already expanded the magazine’s multimedia presence, conducting video interviews with industry leaders and helping to increase engagement beyond the written page. Her proactive approach to editorial development has also supported discussions around future growth areas, including the exploration of a potential new Angel Business Communications title focused on Advanced Packaging.

Sarab has integrated seamlessly into the team and brought a strong blend of technical understanding, creativity and professionalism to the role.

Quote from Sukhi Bhadal, CEO, Angel Business Communications:

“We’re delighted with Sarab taking on the full-time editorial role of PIC Magazine. She has quickly made the position her own – strengthening the publication, expanding into video interviews, and getting involved in a potential new ABC title focused on Advanced Packaging. Sarab brings energy, technical insight, organisation and editorial drive to the business, and we’re excited about what the future holds.”

We asked Sarab to reflect on her first few months at Angel:

Q: What’s been your favourite part of working at Angel so far?
A: My favourite part of working at Angel has been the opportunity to shape and grow PIC Magazine while working alongside such a supportive and ambitious team. From the beginning, I’ve felt trusted to take ownership of the editorial direction and bring new ideas to the publication. It has been especially rewarding to build relationships across the global photonics and semiconductor industry and to see how collaborative the culture at Angel is. Everyone is genuinely invested in helping each other succeed.

Q: What’s something new you’ve learned or been surprised by since joining?
A: I have been pleasantly surprised by how dynamic and fast-moving the semiconductor and photonics media landscape is. Since joining, I have learned how much impact strong editorial storytelling and multimedia content - particularly video interviews and deeper industry engagement - can have in strengthening a publication’s voice. I have also developed a deeper understanding of emerging areas like Advanced Packaging and how closely they intersect with photonics and PIC technologies.

Q: If you could sum up your first 3 months in 3 words, what would they be?
A: Ownership. Momentum. Growth.

Well done Sarab on a strong start - we’re pleased to have you leading PIC Magazine and look forward to the continued growth of the title under your editorial direction.

Please join us in congratulating Sarab on passing her probation and becoming an official Angel.
